Momma

Momma was finally caught on January 18, 2016 when I used a drop trap to catch her. She saw her brother being trap on a regular trap and would never go inside one of those even when she was extremely hungry and pregnant. Momma is one of the 2 kittens that the initial feral cat family brought with them when they discover I was a sucker and would feed them. Since then, the patriarchal cat named Tuxi, her mother, her brother and a possible uncle are all gone. She stayed behind and until I was able to catch her, kept on having one litter after another. I know she has had more than the ones on this colony, but I am not sure where. The day I caught her was one of the most exciting days of my life as I knew the cycle would stop. She has been hanging around even though her kittens do not know she is their mother and I guess she doesn’t remember they are her kittens. But I know and I am caring the best I can for all of them.
